Over the past few years, BigFile has established itself as a leading file-storage service. For files up to 100 gigabytes, you get unlimited storage at no cost. For anything over that size, you pay just 1 euro per terabyte per month for your data. The downside is that BigFile only accepts payments via PayPal or credit card. The other problem can be navigating around the website, which has a lot of categories called "catalogs." While I think it's cool to have many ways to search for what you're looking for, it doesn't make sense when categories are totally different from one another. And some items are hidden under many categories. The site's interface is also not very user-friendly. You can see all your bigfiles on the homepage, but when you click on one of them to download, you find out that it's 500 gigabytes, instead of the 500 megabytes that was advertised. So you have to go back to the homepage to try again. There are also two other problems I've had regarding speed when downloading files: 1.) When I'm in "catalog" mode in my search page, I can't scroll down in order to see what my upload actually was for. I had to use a mouse scroll wheel and jump through many pages in order to get there. 2. ) For some reason, when I click on a file to download it, it takes me to the homepage again. The backend of BigFiles needs some serious work. It would be great if they fixed the categories and made it easier to search for files and download them. This review is based on my own opinion and not on any experiences with customer support. I have never had any problems with BigFile support because I haven't needed any so far. This review is also mainly based on the account I have since 2010, for which I have uploaded over 30TB of data. Other reviews are obviously biased because they focus more on newer accounts. While it's true that BigFiles has major issues with organization and category navigation, there are other file-storage services out there much worse than BigFiles. That being said, it'd be great if they improved their organization and navigation options. You can see how far away they are from being a competitive company by comparing them to other reviews on this website versus reviews on similar websites like FileFactory or MediaFire.http://pixieuk.co. uk/bigfile-review/ BigFile Review http://www.zerocounter.com/2014/02/bigfile-review.html BigFile Review http://www.best10webhosting.com/2013/11/11/bigfile-review-v2.html BigFile Review V2 https://roundcube.atlassian.net/wiki/display/openstackkb//BigFile+Review+-+Confusion+of+Methodology#BigFileReviewConfusionofMethodology-MailingListThread BigFile Review Confusion of Methodology Mailing List Thread http://www.thetechjournalist.co. cfa1e77820
